If you are looking for a creative and lovely vegan cookbook and overall healthy lifestyle cheerleaders this is the book for you. This is not an authoritative book on preventing cognitive decline and has some degree of repetition. It is fairly simplistic, bashes most other diets and fails to mention to eat non GMO and organic foods (pesticides are Neuro-toxic), not to mention other common environmental toxins that are known to impact mental health like exposure to heavy metals, mold and possible pathogens.I won’t go into current day positions on the vegan diet (personally I consume the lions share of calories from plant based organic, non GMO sources, but I wish to make one point. Dairy is explained at too saturated with fat to consume. We all know there are fat free varieties. Many post-menopausal women are osteoporotic, many can not tolerate dairy, but for those of us who can kefir, yogurt and low fat milk are a god-send.
